The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a home invasion in the Town of Oakville. On October 26, 2024, at approximately 2:15 a.m. three suspects broke into a home on Harold Dent Trail by forcing open the residence back door.

On Monday January 29, 2024, at 3:43 am the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a vehicle roll over located on the westbound QEW off ramp at Brant Street in Burlington. Three male and one female occupant of a Dodge Ram pick-up truck were located on scene having been thrown from the vehicle. Oakville Man Arrested for Child Luring

In early October 2024 the Halton Regional Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit commenced an investigation into an incident of child luring that began in September of this year.
As a result of this investigation, on October 18, 2024, Patrick McCash (21) of Oakville, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Luring a child
- Sexual assault (2 Counts)
- Sexual interference (2 Counts)

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in an arson investigation in Burlington.
On Friday October 11, 2024, at approximately 6:00 am police were called to a fire at a townhouse complex located near Appleby Line and Taywood Avenue in Burlington. This complex is in the final phases of construction and consists of a mix of occupied and unoccupied homes.
