As students prepare to return to school next week, Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has launched its 16th annual Project Safe Start campaign, aimed at reminding residents the ABC's of road safety - Always Be Cautious.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating an altercation involving a firearm outside of a downtown Oakville restaurant.
On Friday July 21, 2023, at approximately 11:55 pm police were called to the area of Lakeshore Road East and Reynolds Street in Oakville after multiple reports of at least one gunshot being fired.

***UPDATE*** Auto Theft Prevention Campaign Expands

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is pleased to announce the expansion of an existing a program to help combat auto thefts in the region of Halton.
Project Oxygen began in May (2023) and encourages residents to place third-party trackers (such as an Apple Air Tag, Tile, Galaxy Smart Tag or Atuvos) inside their vehicles. This program initially started with the participation of six dealerships in Oakville (see details provided in initial release below) installing the trackers for residents.
