The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Major Crime Bureau is investigating a suspicious death in Oakville.
On Saturday March 22, 2025, at approximately 5:30 pm, police were contacted after a deceased adult male was located in a building in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Navy Street in Oakville.
Police have not made any arrests and do not have any suspect descriptions to provide.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made a pair of arrests and laid multiple charges in relation to a series of Taylor Swift ticket frauds that occurred in the fall of 2024.
On Thursday November 14, 2024, the HRPS began receiving a number of complaints involving fraudulent or undelivered Taylor Swift tickets that were purchased from a third party vendor who utilized the Facebook profile name of “Denise Blackhawk”.

Project Cortex: Drug Trafficking Investigation Leads To Multiple Arrests

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has concluded a drug trafficking investigation, titled Project Cortex.
The four-month long investigation targeted a trafficking network operating in the region of Halton and throughout the city of Hamilton. In February and March police executed four search warrants at residences in Burlington, Oakville and Grimsby.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male suspect involved in a sexual assault in Oakville.
On March 14, 2025, at approximately 12:10 a.m., an adult female was walking on Sovereign Street, just west of Jones Street, when she was approached by an unknown adult male who initiated a conversation with her. The male subsequently sexually assaulted her. The female defended herself, causing the suspect to flee on foot eastbound on Sovereign Street.
