On Thursday, August 15, 2024 at approximately 6:19 p.m., a male attended the LCBO at 321 Cornwall Road in Oakville. He selected 18 bottles of alcohol, with a total value over $1,300. He placed the bottles in a shopping cart and left the store, making no attempt to pay.

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., two males attended the LCBO located at 321 Cornwall Road in Oakville. They selected 12 bottles of various kinds of alcohol, with a total value of $848.80. Each filled an LCBO hand basket with the products and left the store, making no attempt to pay.

Male Arrested and Charged with Sexual Assault in Burlington

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested and charged a man after a sexual assault at the Appleby GO Station in Burlington.
On August 22, 2024, at approximately 9:30 pm a female youth was seated in the waiting area of the train station when she was approached by an unknown adult male who put his hands on her multiple times.
The female was able to get away from the suspect and police were contacted.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a shooting that took place early this morning in Burlington.
On August 23, 2024, at approximately 2:20 am a series of gunshots were heard in the Alton Village area of Burlington. Police attended and located a parked vehicle on Verdi Street with multiple bullet holes. Fortunately, the vehicle was empty and no persons were hurt as a result of the shooting.
