The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in an arson investigation in Burlington.

On Friday October 11, 2024, at approximately 6:00 am police were called to a fire at a townhouse complex located near Appleby Line and Taywood Avenue in Burlington. This complex is in the final phases of construction and consists of a mix of occupied and unoccupied homes.

The fire was intentionally set and damaged two unoccupied units. Burlington Fire attended and were quickly able to contain the fire, and fortunately no injuries were sustained.

Police are asking anyone who may have dash cam footage of Appleby Line between Taywood Drive and the QEW between the hours of 5:45 am and 6:00 am on the morning of October 11 to contact police. The police are looking to identify the suspect’s vehicle which is a red Dodge Charger.
