The Purchasing Services Unit of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is responsible for the procurement process for the acquisition of goods and services including consulting services, under the Regional Municipality of Halton Police Board’s Procurement By-law # 2020-5 (as amended). The Halton Police Board’s By-laws can be found on their website.
The Halton Police Board requires the HRPS procurement authorities to adhere to the following:
- Institute of Public Procurement NIGP Code of Ethics, and
- Ontario Public Buyers Association Statement of Ethics for Public Purchasers

Notification of Participation with Buying Groups
The Purchasing Services Unit intends to contribute and/or participate on one or more procurements conducted by the following buying groups:
- The Halton Co-Operative Purchasing Group (HCPG)
- The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s (OACP) Police Co-Operative Purchasing Group (PCPG)

The Halton Police Board also authorizes The Purchasing Services Unit to participate in one or more procurement processes under other Buying Groups or as conducted by or for other governmental agencies. These may include:

- Supply Chain Ontario
