The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) have arrested four males and laid multiple charges after an early morning home invasion in Milton.
On February 20, 2025, at 4:54 am three male suspects broke through the front door of a residence in the area of Clark Boulevard and Thompson Road South. Once inside the suspects attended the second level of the home where they confronted the four family members which included a young boy. A large knife and a screwdriver were brandished by two of the suspects who threatened the family demanding cash, jewelry and car keys.
HRPS officers responded and located the suspects Chevrolet Volt parked in front of the residence. The vehicle attempted to flee and struck a police vehicle, however responding officers were able to safely immobilize the suspect vehicle and arrest the male driver. The three remaining suspects fled the residence on foot but were quickly located by HRPS officers in the immediate area and arrested.
Investigation determined the Chevrolet Volt was stolen from Durham Region in early February.
The family members did not sustain any physical injuries.
As a result of the investigation three adult males and a male young offender were charged with the following offences:
Shivam Miglani (25) of Brampton:
- Robbery
- Break and Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5000
- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 Counts)
Gurpreet Singh (28) of Brampton:
- Robbery
- Break and Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Jalen Harriott (18) of Ajax:
- Robbery
- Break and Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $500
A 17 year old male resident of Mississauga:
- Robbery
- Break and Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5000
All accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
