The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested two suspects and laid multiple charges after firearms investigation.

On August 29 2024, at 10:30 am HRPS officers responded to a house on Belvedere Drive in Oakville, after receiving a report of firearms observed within the residence. One female suspect was arrested at the beginning of the investigation and a criminal code search warrant executed resulting in the arrest of a second male suspect within the residence. Two firearms (rifles) and an electric stun gun were located along with five paint and pellet guns which were manufactured to resemble automatic rifles, hand guns and a shot gun.

As a result of the investigation Traci Simioni (42) of Oakville and Hernan Cuello Mazzillo (49) of no fixed address, have been jointly charged with the following:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (2 Counts)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

Both Simioni and Cuello Mazzillo were released on an undertaking with a future court date in Milton.
