The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking to identify a suspect who approached two female youths while holding a knife in Burlington. 

On June 9, 2024, at approximately 1:30 pm the two youths were walking in the alleyway behind a plaza located at 676 Appleby Line in Burlington when they encountered an adult male suspect on a bicycle. The male was holding a large kitchen knife during the encounter with the youths. They were not physically injured.

The youths fled the scene and police were contacted. However, the suspect was not located and is still outstanding. 

The suspect was last seen travelling westbound on a bicycle on the Centennial Bikeway Trail in Burlington. 

The suspect is described as (see attached photos) an Asian male, approximately 50 years of age with long black hair in a bun, and a thin build. The male is missing a top tooth and was seen wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt with blue gloves and white/black checkered pants.
